Computer Set-up for HD

I shared in the last post that we will be moving to High Definition come February. So today I started ordering some of the goods. I will be installing a Power Mac G5 at each theater in order to play the HD content and using a piece of software called Pro Presenter to play all of the videos and graphics and song lyrics in 16:9 HD format.

So today I ordered 3 Odyssey CXP112W Carpeted Racks that will house the computers and an uninterrupted power supply. I also found a company called Marathon Computer that makes rack mounts for the G5.

I will have to mod these cases a little bit in order to accomplish the task, but nothing that a trip to Home Depot can’t fix.

Which 3-Chip DLP projectors are you considering for projecting in HD?

By the way – HD 720P or 1080i?

I would love to hear some of your thoughts on which ones you recommend. Right now our projectors are 3600 Lumens but I would love to go brighter
