Crazy Start to the New Year
I know it’s been such a long time since I last posted here, but I promise I have not been slacking off… I’ve just been crazy busy and my life has been turned upside down for the past month. My family and I spent Christmas break up in Syracuse, NY with my in-laws. The holidays were great and we had a blast. Then on new years day when we were supposed to return to DC, my wife had a scare with her pregnancy and we ended up calling 911 and taking an ambulance to the hospital. The doctors there put my wife on monitors and watched both her and the baby closely for a few days.
Well, about 5 days in, the doctors thought that Jenn was looking better and were talking about sending her home on bed rest for a bit. Then on the night of the 5th day in the hospital her contractions starting getting very strong. So at 7:00 am on January 6th our little girl was born! Reagan Millie Clark. She was born at 32 weeks and a total of 4 pounds and 8 ounces.
She spent the rest of the month in the NICU as they monitored her vitals and tried to help her develop. I ran laps back and forth from Syracuse, NY to DC for the entire month. It’s about a 6 hour drive which gets very old driving it alone. But all that has come to an end. Last Saturday they released her from the hospial because she is doing so well, and then on Monday morning we drove the whole family back to DC. God has been very good to us and we know that we are blessed. Our daughter is a true miracle. Thanks to so many of you who have prayed and supported our family during this season.
Here is a picture of Reagan at 5 days old in the NICU.

Here is our first family photo after she came home.

I’m praying that Feburary is a little bit more relaxed. =)

I’m so happy for you guys… glad you all made it through the ordeal healthy and happy. Be blessed my friend.
